The crime was registered on April 30th, and since then, the healthcare professional, whose name has not been disclosed, has been investigated by the Rio de Janeiro Civil Police (PCRJ). According to the police, the sexual violence occurred under the pretext of performing a hygiene procedure on the victim, who was lucid at the time and reported the incident as soon as she was able. After the episode, the patient did not return to the hospital. The nursing technician was turned over to the Justice and will face charges for the crime of sexual abuse of a vulnerable person.
