A usually roll of 135mm film (also known as 35mm) comes with 36 exposures. In reality, you actually have 39 exposures, but the first 3 frames are usually used to “advance” the film. Also the first frame is a “half-frame” meaning you usually can’t get a full picture. With a little skill and creativity, the first frames can be used to create something unorthodox and abstract.
