Puzzl35 on Nostr: The simplest way to understand what the net result of the no limit OP_RETURN would be ...

The simplest way to understand what the net result of the no limit OP_RETURN would be is that users WILL NOT be able to set a limit on OP_RETURNs and Bitcoin Core will default your node to no limit, with NO WAY FOR USERS TO SET A LIMIT ON OP_RETURN.

This means LESS FREEDOM for individual node runners.

The reason they want to limit your freedom? “We should just do it because people already do it”

Core is trying to force their ideology on all node runners without letting the users opt out.

Odell solution…. Apply to opensats——GUESS WHAT ODELL——Not everyone wants to get KYC’d or be subject to you and opensat’s shitty views. This is gas lighting. Honestly It’s a real bitch ass thing to say.

At the end of the day Bitcoin Core is taking away node runners control because “people can already do this stuff”

Odell and company are laughing at you telling you it’s just a policy change. When in reality they are championing for Bitcoin Core to take away the ability for you to set a limit on OP_RETURN.
