I had my right side done 7 years ago, my left (dominant) side done 5.5 weeks ago. It sucks, but in both cases my bicep detached. The other muscles take over when your shoulder craps out. Eventually they will tear. The surgery sucks...beyond description and recovery takes a long time, but after it helps with the chronic pain and numbness in my arm. And, no, I'm not a surgeon.
