As much as I’d love Firefox to play absolute hardball with any adtech surveillance, Mozilla has been on a downward spiral for years. The moment they become openly hostile to those interests, the industry will take (an even bigger?) nailgun to Firefox’s coffin, whether that’s cutting funding to Mozilla Foundation (eg Google’s bid to be the default search engine) or the continuation of making Firefox look bad/buggy on websites and “works best on Google Chrome” branding which is starting to happen
