The thing is, the Democrats are buying the Republicans ads and working their Pied Piper Strategy to enable the rise of the overt fascism they're using as cover for the less overt fascism that's steadily destroying most life on earth. National elections are mostly kayfabe, dramatized Reality TV show fights between puppets that keep us distracted from the deeper horrors that have been cranking under EVERY administration since at least the 60s. ("Electoral politics cannot be allowed to change financial policy", Larry Summers explained to Yanis Varoufakis when he got his seat at the table with the big boys). The overall trajectory stays more or less the same no matter who's winning, while different cliques of predators wrestle over our entrails.
So my answer stays pretty much the same if Trump wins, with extra doses of scapegoating and insults and "so have you learned your lesson yet" browbeating for people like me, and more fash assholes feeling emboldened to lynch their neighbors-- which may inspire a bit more urgency from people realizing we'll need a lot more than pink hats to deal with this, though a lot of them will stay bogged down in the fantasy that "if only a Democrat had won we'd be at brunch right now" and so on.
It's going to get worse before it gets better.
HOPEFULLY over time more people will be recognizing the games being played on us, getting fed up, and working to organize major strikes and other direct action while building mutual aid networks to help each other where the system fails to do so. The system (regardless of who's in office at the time) may actually kick off WWIII or a major terror attack to use as an even more extra excuse to crack down on protests. How fast and hard that hammer gets brought down depends on how energetic and effective our struggles are, which will be used to feed the propaganda instructing us to save each other by submitting (and collaborating and turning in our dissenting neighbors).
