GAHHHHHH my friend just lived one of my nightmares. I hate it so much for her! She lives up in the Santa Cruz mountains where I used to live, and a fucking tree fell on her car *while she was driving up her driveway* Sunday. The car is flattened but she’s physically fine.
I came way too close to that fate myself once - if I hadn’t had to stop for some annoying (and forgotten) reason, I probably would’ve gotten flattened by the big ass Douglas fir that fell on the main road. I’ve got a little mental logbook of “shit, I really dodged a bullet there” moments from my life, and that tree is one of them. It’s so fucking scary!
