Well I don't personally care if you as an individual said it 3 years ago or a day ago, but I do care that it's thrown about and when users say it makes them uncomfortable then *everyone* turns a blind eye to it.
This is also what confuses me about labeling some instances as "nazi" instances when it is so normalize for people use these slurs. Sure, childlove.top (I don't federate with) allows it under the guise of free speech, but so does rape.pet (I don't federate with).
This is just a single example, but there is systematically an issue where people who claim to hold "X or Y principal" seem extremely selective in applying them. Fine if this is just purely social media, but when people are claiming to be "activists" or the "true pedi" it just comes across as silly.
