I live off of natural light (floor to ceiling windows at home) and rarely use lights in the evenings. So yesterday when exposed to fluorescent lighting in the hospital, I naturally was irritated by them. So I kindly asked if they could turn them off. Within two minutes all the patients in the pre-op area had done the same (as they over heard me give my reasoning to the nurse as there was only curtains between us). We were all happy sitting in the dark waiting for our procedures. I call that a win.
