This is definitely wrong, but in my comment moderation job with Slate I have a semi-secret unwritten rule that treats comments on a Friday with more leniency than any other day.
Like, if something is flagged for being off topic (something we remove/tamp down when people complain but don't go actively looking for) I will delete it every day of the week... except Friday... bc it's Friday, relax, it's just a bit of OT what's the big deal?
