As if I needed more bad news right now. To top everything off, spoke to my Mom and find out that she's been lying to me about how much money she needs to put food on the table, take care of my dying stepdad, maintain her own health, feed the dogs, and pay the mortgage. Because she's ashamed of being poor. Good ole Catholic Morality strikes again.
Is the difference insurmountable for me? No. But also how can I help someone when they won't tell me how much help they actually need?
