Most pics (in mass breading) get fed with some vegetables and most likely with grains. A lot of grains, which kill a lot of other animals (like you wrote above).
If you skip the pig and eat the gains directly, you need much less and therefore kill less animals. But you over-read this part several times, because I already mentioned it.
