The logic that 'if my enemy will do it, I should do it first' is tragically bad. Would you condone genocide of a group or if fear they might commit genocide against your group? I hope not.

The talk of assassination is the same bad logic. 'Well Trump might use these powers to attack his political enemies, so let's just use them against him first.'
