Should we have waited for lightning to gain PMF before activating SegWit and fix the malleability issue? But then would lightning had any traction given it wouldn't work?
Or do you consider the high fees of 2017 bullrun enough of a "proof" that SegWit was worth taking risks, even if PMF wasn't yet reached?
