I have been questioned by my Belgian bank as well, if I don’t provide all the data they asked for my account will be closed. And I am just a regular citizen, not transferring or spending big amounts, so to my feeling: regular citizens are over controlled while the real “dodgy” people can still do their “dodgy” things, Qatar gate corruption, politicians tax manipulations by getting a 2nd citizenship, etc..countless examples.
