Generally since 2015 the games haven't been that great barring a few standout titles.
God of War: Ascension (2013) on the PS3 looks like a game that came out much later and looked like a next-gen game.
I was watching a friend play some PS3-era games e.g. Assasins's Creed: Brotherhood, GTA 4 etc. Other than some muddy textures, the facial animations aren't great. The games still look pretty good.
Generally, a lot of the modern games, don't look or play any better than games made 10-15 years ago.
