#writersCoffeeClub 8/5: If AI created a genuinely good story, would you read it?
What we have today that is being marketed as AI is not intelligent in any meaningful sense, it's just spicy autocomplete: there's no mind behind it. It can no more write a good story than a Boeing 737 can lay an egg.
A hypothetical general AI that *did* have consciousness and intent would raise far more interesting questions than whether or not it could write a genuinely good story. (Although it probably could.)
