Totally agree that setting a character count incentives people to be concise and thoughtful! I think it can add a nice structure to build your tweet around too.
That said, I’ve seen people focus on catchy tweets to get you to “click” into their thread, which is ultimately not insightful. My hope is that, by increasing the limit (or removing it), people will focus more on posting quality content that’s valuable to the reader from the start.
Time will tell!
