I don't mind the subscriptionware aspect of Ulysses (I get why), but I think i'm going to have to admit i don't really like spending time in it for some reason, despite preferring markdown generally. I've even been using Pages in preference of late: utterly the polar opposite! (and I think would be awful for proper long-form; not as bad as Word though!)
