On Threads, Meta's Twitter-like product that will have ActivityPub support built-in, making it interoperable with our Writing Exchange community:
I respect and support Mastodon instances that are pre-emptively defederating -- I would never tell other admins how to run their own communities.
For Writing Exchange, we'll remain vigilant and keep an eye on Meta's actions and words in the fediverse, but we won't be defederating today.
