After seeing a Bitcoin Island documentary discussing costly remittances, I was able to send money to the Philippines just for 30 cents with our aupair, via the bitcoin lightning network and the Pouch app. Without them realizing it has anything to do with bitcoin, it went straight from Euros to Pesos. Normally costs her 6 euros. Amazing.
