Asian languages are more nasal while European languages are from the throat. Idk I'm not very interested in the alphabets, I just want to learn basic phrases if I can hopefully visit some day. Unlike Europe, Japanese don't bother communicating in other languages, so I'll need to know something while I'm there. I can't expect anyone to speak English to me.
