I used to buy silver back in the day because gold was too pricey for a plate-licking-pleb such as myself. It was difficult, costly and the spreads were crazy.
If people are buying gold is because they have a bit more money that the regular dude, if the know about Bitcoin and still prefer gold, they have no sympathy from me.
The real problem is that Bitcoin itself is not widely know in the world (which might sound crazy to you). For example, I heard about it just a year ago. We are early indeed.
