Chris Trottier (npub1jeq…jglm) FWIW, no. CGA wasn't a thing until mid-80s & the pink-blue gradient was pretty well established by '81 (when I went away to college). But I still think you're onto something: That dominant 80s art style was particularly amenable to CGI-level graphics.
It's hard to remember now but as late as 1986 most graphic artists & designers didn't own or even use computers.
