A reflection:
It's often said in political research circles that democracy is mostly about voting against not voting for something.
Certainly in the recent UK election, Labour picked up a lot of votes by not being the (now toxic) Tories.... in America in November, it looks likely that the Harris/Walz ticket will be focussing on it not being Trump/Vance.
So the Q. is this a problem?
Does it represent a narrowing of the political spectrum (as theorists of neolibelriasm suggest)?
