I may be going crazy but I think you can store passkeys in an app file rather than the OS.
For example, I just stored mine in a Keepass file using Strongbox on iOS.
Regarding the key, I assume they just need to add another app for social interaction but I think technically what they have already could be considered a monetary nostr clients.
You’re right though, I would like them to add a social capability in-app.
