if your strategy to stop school shootings (and mass shootings and gun violence) is just “ban the AR” you have probably already lost; the right have been working the courts for decades. They “prepared the battlefield”.
Even if you get something signed, some Federalist asshole judge (probably in Texas) is gonna get in the way, and we already know how SCOTUS feels. It won’t be easy. There has to be a better plan.
