it has a lot of quirks that pleroma and mastodon don't, for example you can manually review new accounts so everyone can join (hindi scammers included).

The admin is pretty cucked from the instance because there are not a easy or convenient way to managing it outside the most basic stuff. For example there is no db prune function so misskey databases just get bigger and bigger over time.

And I am pretty sure it is even more insecure than pleroma, the only reason we don't hear about it is because most development happens in japanese and way less people are looking at the code, so much less than last I heard nobody in the misskey devs actually knows how postgres works, (I have read them wanting to go back to mongodb because of this) they just jug shit in there.

Only fedi software I would consider somewhat stable has to at least being build using a compiled language. Not misskey, nor pleroma, nor mastodon do, they all have a shell and a runtime middleware. The best of those is pleroma which feels more like java to me and that is still a security nightmare.
