It is already going wrong in the first paragraph: "The sun doesn't shine always and there is not always wind." This is not true: the sun always shines but maybe not on place X at time Y, and the same applies to wind.

What you are saying is that you don't like the idea to obtain the electricity from foreign countries, or that the transport is complicated and requires building an infrastructure. But uranium also needs to come from foreign countries (and make you dependent on these countries), and nuclear reactors also require a huge investment in infrastructure. So in the end, the question is, what is cheaper and smarter, building a nuclear reactor and go shopping for nuclear fuel, or build a HV power grid to exchange electricity from wherever it can be produced whenever you need it?
