I *love* camping, and camp about one night out of three. But... I wouldn't want to try to survive on growing and killing my own food. I have neither the knowledge nor the skills to do so. And if I ever broke my glasses I would (a) starve to death, or (b) become an easy meal for any predator.
Spending so much time out in nature, I'm very aware that nature is supremely indifferent to whether I live or die.
