Google joins Microsoft and Amazon in buying contracts for #nuclear power in order to power their data centers (largely for #ai applications).
Having spent a lot of my life living in southern New Hampshire in the vicinity of the Seabrook nuclear plant, I’m of mixed minds. Yes, it reduces #carbon emissions, but we still have the waste.
At least Google is buying from *new* reactors that will be built much more safely than the older reactors like TMI.
