This very much reminds me of my own situation. The dude was my best friend for years; but he totally bought the vaxx hook-line-and-sinker. We’ve not been close ever since, and I literally never make any attempts at contacting him. But five or six times a year he tries to reconnect over something he thinks I’m into. I pretty much just answer his questions, and ignore any suggestion we should meet or hang out etc.
