I think there is no good reason to be scared on any development. Because eighter there are people finding ways to adapt to these developments or they are one day enslaved. But then it will be rather like being a slave of a more intelligent species (I doupt this will happen soon. Since until now it is just a big load of data. But I have never seen any intelligence that gose over learning some game and being the best at it.
I really do not see any reason to be afraid. Since we do not have any possibility to stop it. Where we have no influence, it is not too intelligent to worry in my opinion.
