If you think content warnings are ridiculous and that people should just "update their filters and move on", have you tried doing that?
Filters are pretty much useless.
You have to construct them one word at a time, for all permutations of a topic that you want to block:
Let's say you need to construct a filter for sexual violence. The filter will have to include
rape rapes rapist raped raping etc on and on.
A new entry for each word. And you can't import or export filters.
If someone asks you to please CW, it's not an attack on you.
