I picked up some fill-in work delivering a friend's weekly newspaper. It has me driving off the beaten path, past some of my favorite local recreation spots. Its amazing the difference a road sign still makes in a world where digital maps dominate. As I was quietly wishing good fortune on the beautiful stewards of the secrets, who spent their nights taking down roadside signs to all the good spots, it occurred to me that I haven't really seen social map pins anywhere on Nostr yet, aside from location sharing with notes. They're definitely different things. Social map pins as protected events would be amazing. More narrowed protected events via whitelist type relay would make it even better.

Is there anything remotely close to that in existence yet? Even just basic pins?
