Okay, probably obvious, but not a programmer. But really enjoy the problem-exploration-brainstorming part and reading about all the exciting ideas manifesting across the planet daily :)
Community-led Mobility? Anything like this happening?
With something like #fedimint and #Nostr or whatever new
Crazy shit you all are working on, a circular transportation network seems totally possible… With a mix of transportation modes - buses, shuttles, smaller cars, e-bikes, bikes, etc - and the support system of mechanics, suppliers and finally fuel and administration - licenses, insurances etc. you’ve got all
the main pieces. Coordinated and shared costs without all the middlemen could be like a super advanced version of City CarShare or a modern-day Co-Op for Mobility. Transportation based on the ability to create peer-to-peer networks within a larger overlay connected by #value4value… with payment-for-service (riding, servicing, ride sharing/driving) could remove the various middleman - Uber, Visa, Hertz, AAA Autoshop, etc…
Soon enough we’ll have Robo-Taxi’s gunning for bikers across the country- and the Googles and BYDs and Fords are pretty far along in their effort to corner the Mobility-As-A-Service market.
Food for thought.
