I’m still wrapping my head around it and not technical so could be wrongly but basically it is making block space more scarce, but as btc adoption increases, it would’ve happened anyway with pure transactions, too. So this maybe pushes fees and thus moves transactions to lightning, maybe inevitable anyway. Eg other things also compete for block space like stacks #stx alt coin, I believe.
