🇬🇧 A mutual (and non-tariff) tariff disarmament would be very good news. From the outset I have argued that this is the right negotiating attitude of the EU: not to scale and seek to eliminate tariffs.
The problem is that Trump said not to be content with that, but wants guarantees that there will be no trade deficit with the EU. And that's an unviable nonsense. I hope that a mutual tariff disarmament can be closed.
🇪🇸 Un desarme arancelario (y no arancelario) mutuo serÃa una muy buena noticia. Desde un comienzo he defendido que esa es la actitud negociadora correcta de la UE: no escalar y buscar eliminar aranceles.
El problema es que Trump ha dicho no contentarse con eso, sino que quiere garantÃas de que no habrá déficit comercial con la UE. Y eso es un disparate inviable. Ojalá pueda cerrarse un desarme arancelario mutuo.
