Earth's Resources Development Administration (RDA) began as a bitcoin mining company. However, the final bitcoin block was mined in 2140. By 2154, the bulk of RDA's revenue came from mining unobtanium on Pandora since the bitcoin block reward ended. However, RDA retained their bitcoin mining infrastructure as a method of digital value transfer, and transported and instituted it along side their mining operations around the galaxy. Today, RDA's hash rate on Pandora exceeds that of Earth's, and blocks are still synced between Earth and Pandora via free space optical (FSO, which is laser communications).
