Apple has said a number of upcoming features, including its highly anticipated Apple Intelligence AI tool, may not be available in the EU this year due to “regulatory uncertainties.”
Apple is citing concerns with the Digital Markets Act (DMA), which puts strict requirements on the “gatekeepers” of huge online platforms to block out anticompetitive behaviour. Apple told The Verge it was worried that the interoperability requirements of the law “could force us to compromise the integrity of our products in ways that risks user privacy and data security.”
