Thinking about that time my boomer neighbor told me that I'd have an easier time in life if I just tried to fit in more. That's like telling Wednesday Addams that she might want to try fitting in more. I resisted telling her "oh that ship sailed a long time ago, friend." I don't even think it's possible for me to fit in, but also, why??
That was always my big question, even in high school. Why would I *want* to look like and be like everyone else? That's boring as hell.
Anyway, it was an interesting insight into her MO. I hope that her efforts to fit in have brought her whatever benefits she hoped it would.
Also, I recently watched this video with Korean teens meeting "women you can't see everyday" and it's like ... A curvy gal, a weight lifting gal, a tattoo gal...
