Apparently it is customary for a man in his fifties to buy a motorcycle for himself as a birthday. I didn't. I bought two fountain pens instead. They're traveling half way around the world. In the first week they've reached New Jersey, having started from (checks notes) Virginia. The world of modern couriers and logistics never ceases to amaze me.
