Are you expecting more capital controls in the US? The comparison to the 1940s is apt, but there are some differences between now and then. I doubt they can enforce large negative real yields for years on end. Much has changed: speed of information propagation, access to investing, demographics, national cohesion, etc etc. What do you seem coming down the pike for us? Or will they just defer and go the route of balance sheet expansion?
