I don’t understand how you can pretend to understand what something is like if you aren’t affected by it.
It’s seems really basic to me that you should listen to the people directly affected by something, when they tell you what the situation is like.
Because of me listening to those affected, I will be avoiding the US in its entirety for the foreseeable future. It seems clear they don’t want people like me to even visit.
