I thought #lentils were safe to eat raw but the Internet seems to disagree, saying they contain lectins like most beans. I always thought they didn't since they don't need to be soaked like beans. Anyone have a *trustworthy* source to clear this up?
Since I expect frequent bans on open fires while #hiking, I've decided to simply forego using fire for cooking. So I'll be eating a lot of couscous and quinoa, but I wanted to vary it up a bit with lentils and chickpea flour. #Nutrition #Food
