I won't allow anyone to derail me from my purpose on this earth, which is to love God with all my heart, mind and soul. And to love my neighbor as myself. So that I can hopefully be with Him someday in heaven. Any political, sociological or ideological belief which seeks to distract from that one true purpose is a distraction and hurtle to God's purpose for man.
