I tried that, and it was a mistake. It is *why* the landlord's involved already - I'd complained to my neighbor, and they *immediately* escalated to the landlord to demand I never complain about noise again.

Niglet is about 60 dB and can be attenuated reasonably by earplugs, but the fatass earthquake noises cannot be.
