I talk a lot (yeah i know ^^), but sometimes i do listen. And what i get is that people are distracted easily, if one manages to get their thoughts on track about basics they do change.

This fits very well with the little i know about psychology: getting a general read, influencing masses, that works. But determining anything on the individual level, that's the hell-level of psychology.

So, we saw many examples of many people doing horrible things, like the nazis with the holocaust, like the US with warcrimes galore, with the USSR and concentration camps with more dead than even the nazis. We also see a world of people destroying the environment. Not at an individual level with thought - nobody runs around pouring old motor oil into lakes to do damage. Just... going along. Buying that new phone, getting yet another thing that gets thrown away soon.

How about voting? Many people vote for parties that obviously do not have their best interest at heart, near noone votes for the idealists trying to improve stuff.

Do you actually think people want to suffer? I catch that thought often, but i think it is just an internalized sarcasm. I think people want nice things, but mass manipulation works. It has been refined, improved, is now greater than ever.

And somewhere, far away from us plebs, there sit some people that have been groomed to think like this: We deserve it. We tell our servants what we want, and it will be done. I need some distraction.

And the servants do what they always did, the refined art. And a distraction will be had by all.

And it is no wonder humans are foolish. Because they never stopped to actually scale up their consciousness to their new abilities. Just the same tribal stuff, at scale.
