The ethnicities in Jib's world are loosely defined. You have tree people (wealthy, highly stratified society), ground dwellers (simpler, more egalitarian communities) and field nomads (mostly ground dwelling, but mobile)
Jib is a ground dweller from the Ivy Patch, a heavily oppressed, colonized territory. Hardly any tree nation has seen anyone from the Ivy patch, so Jib is a sort of minority.
