Appliance manufacturers make very few freezerless refrigerators.
If they sold just a refrigerator, the compressor wouldn't be nearly as stressed and the refrigerator would last forever.
That'd hurt the profits of LG/Samsung/Bosch/GE/Whirlpool/Frigidaire because you wouldn't have to replace it every 5 years.
You want to know why SubZeros last forever and why they can sell them for the price of a car?
Because they have discrete compressors for the freezer and refrigerator.
I hate modernity.
